Fendt is the high-tech brand of the AGCO Corporation, one of the world's largest manufacturers and suppliers of tractors and agricultural machinery. When welding safety cabs for tractors, the company relies on welding technology from CLOOS. Three robots weld the cab frame in the two-station system. The Vari Weld welding process is used here, in which a particularly stable, low-spatter pulsed arc is generated. The arrangement of the robots around the booth enables very short cycle times. The double station workpiece positioner with horizontal station change enables the workpieces to be removed and inserted while the robots weld at the same time. Both stations are equipped with a rotating and swivel axis. This makes it possible to reach hard-to-reach areas and achieve optimum weld seam quality.
